What is the IOLTA Program?

IOLTA (Interest on Lawyer Trust Accounts) is a program created by a Court Rule established by the New Jersey Supreme Court. The funds generated through the IOLTA program can only be used for three reasons:

1. Legal representation and services to those who are unable to afford such services
2. Improvements in the administration of justice
3. Legal education to the public

Are you an attorney who wants to open an IOLTA account?
It is as easy as 1-2-3!

1. Visit one of our convenient branches and open a non-interest bearing attorney trust account.
2. Obtain the necessary forms from the IOLTA fund and return them to the fund after completion.
3. If the IOLTA fund determines that the account should be interest bearing, they will provide Community Bank with an authorization to use the IOLTA Tax ID number. When the authorization is received, we will convert the account to an IOLTA interest-bearing account.

No minimum balance required.
